The game
Under the glass is your desktop.
Shatterdesk puts a pane of glass over your desktop, just as it is right now. You can hit it with the hammer, saw a hole into it, flood it or set it on fire. Termites gnaw at the glass and carry the material to their mound, and plants push new cracks into it with their roots. Through the holes you look into space.
- Twelve toolsThe case holds everything from the hammer to the snow cannon. Every tool has a second action on the right mouse button.
- The tools work togetherWater puts out fire. Point the snow cannon at the water and it turns to ice.
- Broken only for showYour files and programs stay undamaged. Press “Reset” in the case and the glass is whole again.
Language: English, switchable to German.
Tech
The glass up there runs in your browser. The game itself is built with Unreal Engine 5.
01Unreal Engine 5In the game, glass, water, fire and smoke get their own shaders and particles.
02No scriptYou decide what to try. If something burns, you can put it out with water, for example.
03Your files stay safeOnly the glass in the game breaks. Your files and programs stay undamaged.
04This pageThe glass up there is a small toy for the browser. You can break it and repair it again.
